There are two Polar Bear enclosures at the Peak Wildlife Park covering a total of 5 acres. The bears were in the first enclosure (see attached photo), which has a large pool with a depth of 6 metres. (The second enclosure’s pool is 8 metres deep).
The Peak District is beautiful and I am sure they will be very happy there. The enclosures are not as big as YWP but are still a good size. Also, around the edges of the water both natural stone & concrete have been used to stop erosion. Not as natural but it won’t be as muddy in winter……and will help keep them clean!!??

According to the keepers, they have all settled in very well. Nanook is a little more adventurous with Noori being a little closer to mum.
Nanook & Noori both looked completely at ease in their new surroundings and were extremely playful throughout the day.
Hope is perhaps taking a little longer, which I think is understandable, she was regularly patrolling the boundary and also checking on the whereabouts of the cubs.
She also spent time a good amount of time playing with the cubs in the water and later chilling out on the wood chips.

They just loved playing with their toys, diving in the water, climbing out and diving in again…….very reminiscent of their Aunt Tala.
