Very often we see Nobby napping and sleeping but this time he surprised the visitors. 🙂 He was having a walkabout and looking for Hamish.
Hmmm, I can see the paw prints and I can also smell him!

Shared napping is double napping and oh, so relaxing! 🙂
Now we change the scene. This time Nobby was the ‘target’ and Brodie was looking for him.
Nobby, where are you? I’m coming with a gift for you.
Brodie found him in the cave, but, of course, Nobby was napping. 🙂
Oh bear, he’s dreaming so nicely so I don’t want to wake him.
What do they say? If you can’t beat them – join them! Please, wish me beautiful dreams!
Indie took things easy and only took a short walk.
Then he just chilled with his feathered fans. 🙂
Yuma was looking for company …

It never ceases to amaze me that bears, despite being solitary animals, are actually very friendly towards one another.
The photo of the two of them sleeping in the den is my highlight of the day!

Summer is normally when guys like to watch girls go by. But in ProjectPolar it is a time for the guys to chill out with one another. I am so grateful to you both for keeping me in touch with YWP.

Thank you for the photos of relaxed male polar bears who are friends again and even take their afternoon naps together. The fact that they each seek out the company of the other bears speaks volumes in favour of this method of keeping male bears. GREAT!
