In late July the sisters Nivi and Anori arrived from Skandinavisk Dyrepark to the Zoo Brno. 🐻❄️💙
They are eagerly exploring their new home.
Nivi and Anori are twin female polar bears born on December 12, 2021, at Skandinavisk Dyrepark (Scandinavian Wildlife Park) in Kolind, Denmark. Their mother is Nuno and their father is Ivan.
I don’t know who’s who but the twins seem to be satisfied with their new residence.
Cora was born on the 27th of November 1998 in St Petersburg. She came to Brno in March 2000.
The old lady is still going strong …
…. and she sure is a beautiful polar bear.
Anna and Elsa are two famous polar bear cubs (twins) who were born in December 2019 at Zoo am Meer in Bremerhaven, Germany. They were named after the popular characters from Disney’s hit film *Frozen*.
In the summer of 2025, the polar bear sisters moved to Brno Zoo.

I hope Cora is allowed to spend her old days in Brno. I don’t like old bears moved around!

There are rumours that Anna and Elsa will move to Berlin when the polar bear enclosure is ready. However, this information hasn’t been confirmed as far as I know.

Thank you for the wonderful pictures. It is great that the zoo Brno built the new enclosure.

Cora ist wirklich eine gutaussehende Lady und ich hoffe sehr, dass sie in ihrem Alter nicht mehr in einen anderen Zoo umziehen muss !!!🐻❄️👌✊
Ob sich “das Gerücht” um Den Umzug von Anna und Elsa nach Berlin bewahrheiten wird, wir werden sehen…🐻❄️🐻❄️🤔
Für Anori und Nivi steht nun viel Neues an, möglicherweise gesellt sich ja auch der eine und andere Junge dazu…🐻❄️🐻❄️🤔🐻❄️🐻❄️
Liebe Martina,
ich freue mich immer von dir etwas aus dem Zoo in Brünn zu hören, vor allem auch wegen
der Zwillinge Annaund Eva.
Es wärenatürlich toll. wenn sie nach Berlin kommen würden als deutsche Mädels, aber man muss abwarten.
Für Cora wünsche ich auch, dass sie in ihrem hohen Alter in Brünn bleiben darf und man ihr einen strapaziösen Umzug erspart. Aber leider sind alte Bären nicht mehr so attraktiv, was gar nicht stimmt.

Liebe Martina!
Danke für die vielen schönen Bilder der Bären in Brünn und dass Du sie einzeln vorgestellt hast! Ich finde es gut, dass sich das “junge Gemüse” an einer älteren Bärin orientieren kann. Cora ist eine wunderschöne und erfahrene Bärin. Ich hoffe sehr, dass man ihr einen Umzug nicht mehr zumutet!
