🐻❄️🤍 We are excited to share some wonderful news – two new polar bears, Inuvik and Kara, have arrived at our wildlife park. Both are young females, and their journey to Ranua went smoothly.
At the moment, the bears are being given time to calmly familiarise themselves with their new enclosures, their keepers, and with each other. They will be visible to visitors starting next Friday. Our long-term resident Venus continues her life in her own enclosure and is still visible to the public.
I don’t know which one of the girls this is but she sure is beautiful!
Our goal is that all three polar bears will eventually be able to live within the same large enclosure complex, once they have settled in and their social relationships are safe enough.
Please, excuse my dirty face but it was a long journey!!
Some good rolls in the snow will make my fur presentable again! 🙂
Thank you for raising and caring for these lovely girls Zoologisk Have & Les Amis du Zoo de Mulhouse!
Hello there! Are you a newcomer, too? Nice to meet you!
🎉 On Saturday, 13 December, from 11:00 to 14:00, we will celebrate the opening of the renovated polar bear area – we look forward to welcoming you to meet the bears!
