25.10.2026 – Photos by Pat Waldron
Brodie and Luka have moved to the Highlands Wildlife Park so I hope to see photos of even Sisu soon. While I’m waiting I want to show you pics of Hamish and Nobby enjoying the Autumn.
Nobby wanted to have company so he made his best to wake Hamish from his afternoon nap.
OK, Nobby! I’m awake now!
The bears had a ‘rendez-vous’ by the Lake Polar Bear.
Hamish wanted to make his yoga exercises and his feathered cheer leaders were there to help him. 🙂
Nobby wasn’t so interested in this kind of activities.
He took a walkabout in the enclosure …
… and found a big tree branch.
After some polar bearish treatment the big branch wasn’t so big anymore …. 🙂
Nobby looked very pleased with himself!
After the yoga Hamish went swimming and found something he wanted to taste.
Obsiously the ‘thing’ wasn’t very yammy. 🙂
Yikes!!
Time for a nap in the water for the good old chap Hamish.

Hi Pat,
Nobby and Hamish are two good mates, but sport isn’t really his thing – he’s got that in common with Churchill: ‘No sport’!
Next time, you’ll definitely get to see the two newcomers. Let’s see how the others react to the new arrivals.
The photos are brilliant, thank you very much and best wishes!
Wir kennen die Beiden noch als Kinder:
was für große, starke Bären sind sie
geworden – aber etwas faul… 😉
Dear Pat!
Thank you for the wonderful pictures. Hamish and Nobby enjoy the autumn. They are both relaxed.
Hugs
Ludmila
Dear Pat!
Thank you for the news about Hamish and Nobby!
They both look magnificent and seem to be very relaxed.
I still remember the time when they were both just little cubs. It’s wonderful to see them doing so well as friends, and I wish them all the best for the future.
Hugs
Anke
