Eisbärjungtier MiKa hat heute Vormittag (24.Juni) das erste Mal den großen Teil der Anlage erobert. Zusammen mit Muttertier Nuka hat er die unterschiedlichen Wasserbereiche und den großen Naturteil im hinteren Bereich kennengelernt.
Polar bear cub MiKa conquered the large part of the enclosure for the first time this morning (24 June). Together with mum Nuka, he got to know the different water areas and the large natural area at the back.
Zudem waren einige Leckereien für die beiden Tiere auf der Anlage verteilt worden. MiKa hat sich dabei äußerst neugierig und erkundungsfreudig gezeigt.
A few treats were also distributed around the enclosure for the two animals. MiKa was extremely curious and keen to explore.
Auch im Tiefbereich des Wasserteils hat MiKa die ersten Tauchversuche gewagt.
MiKa has also made its first diving attempts in the deep water section.
Mika 🐻❄️ ist sehr neugierig und war so gar vor seine Mama🐻❄️ auf der großen unbekannt Außenanlage.
Mika 🐻❄️ is very curious and was even before his Mama🐻❄️ on the large unknown outdoor area.
Für MiKa gab es einiges zu entdecken und zu untersuchen.
There was plenty for MiKa to discover and investigate.
No map is needed – Mika just follows mama’a paw prints. 🙂
Es wurde natürlich auch viel gespielt.
Of course, the mum and the son also played a lot.
The mum and the son sure look happy together!
Und Nuka passte dabei immer auf ihren Sohnemann auf.
And Nuka looked after her son all the time.
I didn’t know the world is so big. Hmm, I may be little but I think I can call myself ‘a man of the world’ now! (He sure looks proud as a peacock 🙂 )
The lunch hour is always a happy hour! 🙂
Even a ‘man of the world’ gets tired … but luckily mama’s always there so Mika can take a nap feeling safe and secure.
Unser männlicher Eisbär Kap bleibt vorerst weiter im Innenbereich. Der Allgemeinzustand ist weiterhin nicht gut, jedoch stabil und nicht mehr kritisch. Wenn es Kap wieder besser geht, darf er auch wieder auf die Außenanlage, die abtrennbar ist.
Our male polar bear Kap remains indoors for the time being. His general condition is still not good, but stable and no longer critical. When Kap is feeling better again, he will be allowed to return to the outdoor enclosure, which can be partitioned off.
