The weather in Novosibirsk has switched between really warm days and some cold days when it was even snowing a little. The polar bear enclosures the snow has melted and the ‘pool’ is ice free.
Dear Gerda, may I say you look beautiful!
This time of the year many polar bears have more or less problems with their furs but Gerda and Kai look amazingly white and fluffy.
I guess the concrete without grass or mud is the reason. Whatever – the couple look fantastic together.

Belka and Strelka look very brown compared to their parents. 🙂
Their enclosure doesn’t look so nice now but soon the grass will be green and the trees have nice leaves again.
I don’t know what I should call this great construction. Have you any ideas?
Whatever it’s called it seems to be a nice place for chilling …
… and even for some gymnastic exercises. 🙂

Of course, the girls have lots of fun in the water, too. Many toys have been hidden under the snow but now many treasures can be found.
