During one of my visits in Berlin Ralph gave me a bag with the text ‘Stay chilled – be cool’. Since then that’s been my slogan – not always very succesfully though. 🙂 Pat visited the six polar bears on the 25th of March and took lots of photos of our giant friends. I thought ‘my slogan’ could be a suitable title for the 4 or 5 reports to come.
The first article is about Hamish and Luka

Hamish has amazingly white fur compared to Luka ….
… who prefers a darker shade of white. 🙂
Hamish took a walkabout in the enclosure.
The rock serves fine as a watch tower.
The Lake Polar Bear looked inviting ….
…. and the keepers had served his lunch in the lake.
Oh bear, that was a hearty lunch!
After the lunch he found a somewhat worn out little Christmas tree. 🙂
He found the now brown tree quite dull and boring …
… so he decided to have a nap.
Even Luka took a short walk …
… but decided it was time for total relaxation.
Luka found bedroom a better alternative for a nap. His fur matches the ‘matress’ perfectly! 🙂
A little pawicure was needed before the trip to the land of dreams.
Once again I wonder who claims polar bears have no facial expressions! 🙂
