Imaq and Inuk turned five! Born on 4 December 2019 in Aalborg, the polar bear sisters have lovely names with meaning: Inuk means Inuit, a member of the West Eskimo people, while Imaq means sea, ocean.
Imaq, who is a little taller and likes to be in the water a lot, enjoyed a meat and vegetable ice-cream in the water for her birthday. The smaller Inuk waited on the shore until his sister swam close and left him the ice cream.
Review of birthday gifts.
The red wolves, who roam around their garden light-footedly and keep an eye on the tiger in the next garden when possible, have grown a nice fluffy coat for the winter.
On a dusky December day, the tailcoat sits motionless on a branch in the tiger enclosure, eyes rounded on its head.
Sweet Kihnu marmots
After the birthday ceremonies Imaq and Inuk remembered that Christmas is approaching with giant steps.
They started the decorating of the enclosure. 🙂
It had been snowing so the ground looked very Christmas like.
What a perfect day with Christmas gifts and snow!
Lovely Friida
Thank you for watching!
We hope to be back soon!
