We’ve been wondering what happened to Belka and Strelka after their separation from mama Gerda. Arkadi has visited them and he also took lots of photos which you can now see here.
The sisters were, of course, quite anxious without their mother …
…. but at the same time they were curious about their new home.
At first only the other one wanted to go swimming …
… while the other one kept exploring the enclosure.
Finally both sisters were swimming together.
There was a little surprise for them, too!
Who brought the toy? Hello! Anybody there?
It’s difficult to tell how the whole encosure looks like but at least we can see something green instead of only concrete.
There seems to be a big enough ‘pool’ for them.
However, the main thing is that the twins are allowed to stay together AND that the visitors can still meet their beloved polar bear twins!
Belka and Strelka seem to be doing fine. Shauna is doing fine in Izhevsk but I’m worried about Nordi. Where is he? I hope the zoo will give us some answers!
