The 15th of July was the Arctic Sea Ice Day (July 15th annually). Here’s Part 1 of beautiful lady 🐻❄️ Berit from my visit to Henry Vilas Zoo (Madison) last week. 27 years young Berit will turn 28 on December 28th.
Looks like round 1 of Berit pool time is ending, so….

Artic Sea Ice Day was created by Polar Bears International to highlight the rapid melting of sea ice.
Thankfully, Denver Zoo born Berit has air conditioning to escape the excessive heat we’re currently experiencing. More Berit to come.

Thank you for these wonderful photos of this beautiful old polar bear lady, who knows how to enjoy life even at an advanced age. Berit looks wonderfully relaxed, and I wish her many more beautiful summer days with the chance to cool off in the cold, clear water whenever she wants.

Even at her advanced age, Berit still takes great care of her appearance.
That’s just how it should be – a good hairstyle and manicure are a must for a well-groomed woman. And a little pot belly is also part of getting older, isn’t it?
