Berit then moved to the Cincinnati Zoo where she spent 16 years. In Nov 2016 Berit moved to Madison in the newly built Arctic Passage habitat.
Though Berit has never had any offspring, she has been an amazing mentor for other 🐻❄️.
Berit is known for swimming her laps. I’m told she used to do this in Cincinnati, too. 😍

If it were still as hot as it was two weeks ago, I’d be pretty jealous right now… Berit really makes you crave cold, clear water when it’s this hot. She looks wonderful doing it, and I’m genuinely happy for her that she gets to enjoy these refreshing moments!

yes, Berit was known for swimming her laps at the Cincinnati zoo. That pool is still there, but now it belongs to the Sea Otters. It’s good to see Berit so active and looking so good. Thanks for sharing.
