Here comes beautiful, Berit! Time to start the party!
Yes, the stalker has returned
Berit was born in Denver on December 28, 1998
In 2020, Berit left Denver for Cincinnati where she remained until age 17. In November 2016 she moved to Henry Vilas Zoo.
Berit is currently paired with young Bo.
This was the 2nd time Berit thought about taking a swim while I was there, but young Bo is very rambunctious. Bo is very respectful of this beautiful senior lady polar bear.
Berit has not had any offspring. In 2017 she participated in artificial insemination after the passing of Nanuq (genetically valuable wildborn male). Unfortunately, not successful.
Berit & Bo appear to have a very respectful mother/son type relationship.
Berit did check out the pickle in the pool, but opted to pass on a polar plunge (maybe this week?)

Hello, Bo! I saw that pickle fly thru the air from the opposite end (while visiting Berit). Stay tuned for Part 2….Bo & his pickle ….well, what’s left of it!
