When the Spring comes I always remember the meetings in Berlin when Knut was still there. The weather was often warm, the trees and bushes were getting green offering a wonderful ‘frame’ to our visits in the zoo.
Of course, the main reason for the visits was our magic bear Knuti! He was often busy gardening and as a result of his effort his enclosure really was very green – compared to many other polar bear enclosures.
After using his ‘green paws’ he enjoyed a dinner and then it was time for a nap. How peaceful it was to watch the sleeping Knuti. Peaceful and delightful …… I’m happy I could be there sharing those unforgettable moments!
