My second visit to Jimmy’s Farm on 29th April, to see Flocke, Tala & Ewa didn’t disappoint! I had a wonderful day and was pleased to see that all three bears were together with access to the two large enclosures and even the wood.
Flocke in the dark ‘dress’ – Tala prefers the whiter shade of pale. 🙂
Tala in particularly has settled in extremely well and continues to be her inquisitive, energetic and playful self. She kept exploring the enclosures and playing in the water with her beloved toys. (There will be a separate article of Tala playng in the water later on)

Flocke on the other hand was more laid back, regularly glancing at Tala and following her if she wandered off.

She was also keeping an eye on Ewa, who spent most of the time snoozing in the lush grass. On one occasion a curious Tala headed towards Ewa but Flocke let it be known to stay away…..I think Flocke was just being over protective.
According to the keeper, Ewa prefers her own space and doesn’t interact with Flocke & Tala.

He also mentioned she is definitely the boss! Ewa did occasionally wander around, still keeping her distance, but Flocke was always aware of her movements.

Later in the day Tala set off on a mission with Flocke in tow, she was heading directly for the entrance into the wood. Unfortunately, I lost sight of them and only managed photo’s of them exiting the wood.
The photo of the wooded area looks back towards the polar bear enclosures. Flocke, Tala and Ewa had access to the area on the right.

Flocke, Tala & Ewa were moved from two amazing homes at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Orsa Predator Park. They have been very fortunate to find another wonderful home at Jimmy’s Farm (apart from the railway line), which gives them natural and spacious enclosures……..I am sure they will be very happy there.
