Kap had a frozen start of the new year

When Rebecca visited Kap in Karlsruhe on the New Year’s Day there was frost on the ground so he could have a nice roll.

I guess Kap was wondering what the new year would bring.

Kap thought there was something special somewhere in the enclosure.

The frost on the ground was not the only frosty thing. The keepers had arranged a surprise for him.

Kap doesn’t like fire works but a bomb of ice is a totally different matter! 🙂

Kap decided to take the surprise to a safe place so nobody would pinch it.

I hope people respected the zoo director’s wish of no fire works near the zoo!

After a good meal a swimming tour ….

… and then it was time for a nice nap.
