This sign certainly applies to Flocke. She is still living with her lively daughter, Tala.
I found them on Monday morning in the “exercise yard” of their den. Flocke is muddy with longer fur. “Tiny” Tala is as big as her mum.
Time to come out, with Flocke leading the way.
But Tala, eager as ever is the first to leave.
Flocke follows, looking back to check the door is still open.
Tala is way out in front, Flocke takes her time.
Project Polar 2 was originally intended to rescue an old Polar Bear from Mexico but is larger than most zoo enclosures.
The difference between Flocke and Tala owes much to Tala being Raspi’s daughter. These photos show Flocke focussed on eating while Tala ranges around the enclosure looking for something.
The sign is quite right, Flocke is a Super Mum!
