It’s very hard to find words to say goodbye to you, our sweet Nalle but I try. If this was written on a paper it would be wet by tears ….
You came to us about 15 years ago together with Mimmi from a cat rescue home. I don’t know how your first months in life had been but I think you had had some bad experiences. You were very scared and shy. The first night you spent under our bed so we served your food in the bedroom. The following day you came out and started cautiously exploring your new home.
After about a week a miracle – at least for me – happened. You jumped on my lap and started purring. I can’t describe how happy I was!
Both you and Mimmi were still a bit suspicious. When Vesa and I put on the shoes and coats you were hiding under the sofa. I guess you were afraid we would take you away.
Little by little you began to trust us and became the sweet cat who liked to be caressed.
You were always curious about what you could find on the table. Sometimes you managed to pinch a bit of food, too.
The Christmas without you will not be the same ….
Your purring was the sweetest music to our ears.
Speaking about music – you also loved to meow loud and clear. That’s why we also called you Pavarotti. Together with Mimmi you made a nice duo.
We had so many good years with you although you had some problems with your health. However, you always recovered well.
During the last few weeks of your life you started to get weaker and although we tried our best we or the vet couldn’t help you. The last night was hell. It was awful to see you suffer and in the middle of the night we had to take the hardest possible decision.
Dear Nalle! You are no longer with us you will always have a warm place in our hearts. We are mourning but we know you’re beyond pain now. Thank you for the light and delight you brought to us!
