Giovanna hat immer gerne gespielt. Die blauen großen Regentonnen waren ihr liebstes Spielzeug. / Giovanna has always loved to play. The blue big rain barrels were her favourite toy.
Die große Liebe ihres Lebens, der unvergessliche GentleBär Yoghi. Ein gutmütiger Teddybär, der seine Giovanna liebte und verehrte.

Keiner hätte der wilden Giovanna zu getraut, Mama zu sein. Es war wirklich spannend, die Veränderung zu sehen. Giovanna blieb Stunden, Tage ja sogar Monate an der Seite ihrer Kinder.
No one would have trusted the wild Giovanna to be a mum. It was really exciting to see the change. Giovanna stayed by her children’s side for hours, days, even months.

Nach dem Wegzug von Quintana kamen zwei junge Bärinnen. Nanook und Nuna.
Giovanna hat sich der zwei Mädels angenommen, hat eine Gruppe geformt und dabei immer deutlich gemacht, wer die First Lady in Hellabrunn ist.
After Quintana left, two young female bears arrived. Nanook and Nuna. Giovanna has taken care of the two girls, formed a group and always made it clear who is the first lady at Hellabrunn.
Die Tierpfleger erzählen, dass die Schlafmütze Giovanna zur Zeit schon im Wintermodus ist. Sie liegt meist in IHRER Kuhle.
The zookeepers tell us that Giovanna, the sleepyhead, is already in winter mode at the moment. She usually lies down in HER coop.
Auch mit Futter kann man sie zur Zeit nicht wirklich locken. Viel Bewegung ist nicht. Mal hebt sie ihren Kopf, mal guckt sie was die Mädels zu machen, mal macht sie ein paar Yoga-Übungen oder sie pflegt / säubert ihr Fell / Tatzen. Gebadet wird im Winter übrigens nicht.
Even with food you can not really entice them at the moment. There is not much movement. Sometimes she lifts her head, sometimes she looks what the girls are doing, sometimes she does some yoga exercises or she cleans her fur / paws. By the way, they don’t bathe in winter.
