Brown bears in the snow in Berlin

I went to the zoo today (2nd of December) to check on the brown bears because it was snowing here, too.

The three brothers Lucifer, Lillebror and Momoa are doing well. They have also settled in well in their new home. Two of them often play and wrestle together.

One of the bears is always a bit on the sidelines. Today he was watching the wolves in the neighbouring enclosure.

Who said bears can’t smile?

In Orsa the brown bears used to hibernate but here they seem to have forgotten the ‘sleepy period’. 🙂

There hasn’t been much going on at Tonja and Hertha’s zoo recently. They are resting a lot. Unfortunately, they no longer play and cuddle together. They usually lie a little apart from each other. But they still accept each other.

We polar bears don’t hibernate but we certainly slow down during the Winter – at least in a zoo!
