It was birthday time at the Toledo Zoo, with mother Crystal celebrating her 25th birthday on November 10, and her twin sons Kallik and Kallu turning one year old on November 11.
The keepers made three cakes, one for each of the bears, with their names painted on blocks: Crystal, Kallu (Thunder) and Kallik (Lightning). The cakes were made of delicious watermelon and lettuce, and a carrot on top for a candle.
The slices of watermelon also made for fun toys to flip around.
Later on there were fishies for the cubs too. Kallik and Kallu chased each other around, then had a splashy battle in the water.
The cubs had a great time playing with their black lids, something Kallu never gets tired of.
Kallik had a good time with the new floating glacier raft, plus a lid as well.
They went back to the party room later, and got some paint on their faces from the name blocks, like the little clowns they are. It was a good time for all.
