On the 6th of October Brodie and Luka made the journey from Yorkshire to the Highlands. You can read more about them in an article in the Strathspey Herald.
Pat visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park just a few days before the bears’ move. Here are her latest photos and even some little older pics of Brodie and Luka in this park.

Brodie and Luka became good friends during Brodie’s stay in Yorkshire. Here Luka has spotted Brodie and makes his way to greet him.

Both bears loved their ‘bedroom’. This is Brodie checking if the room is occupied but ‘the nest seems to be empty’.
This is Luka. Hopefully they will have a similar ‘bedroom’ in the Highlands.
The Lake Polar Bear was frequently visited by Luka.
Now it was time to say goodbye …
… but don’t you worry, Luka. I’m sure there’s a Loch Polar Bear in Scotland for you! 🙂

Alles GUTE wünsche ich LUKA und BRODIE für den “Neubeginn” im HWP in Schottland!!! Ich hoffe sehr, dass Luka und Brodie sich dort genauso wohlfühlen werden, wie es im YWP gewesen ist, vorallem aber, dass die beiden Jungs gut miteinander auskommen werden!!

I wish these handsome male bears all the best, the love of their keepers and a wonderful life in Scotland. I also hope they have sleeping dens and opportunities to swim that are just as lovely as the ones in Yorkshire.
