The days have been very hot even in Tallinn but Skadi, Kaja, Imaq and Inuk know how to stay chilled and be cool! 🙂
All four girls have amazingly White and fluffy fur!
Of course, they look for a place in the shadow when the sun shine gets too hot.
Inuk
Imaq was sun bathing ….
…. but soon she found the water more inviting than the hot sunshine.
The swimming pool is also frequently visited.
On a hot day the water is the best play ground!
Sometimes is feels great just to float ….
I don’t know if she jumping into the pool or maybe she’s having a shower …. 🙂

Luckily there are shadowy spots in the enclosure.
The tiger likes the high grass that gives some protection from the sun.
The dhole looks a bit tired but very beautiful.

Die Fotos zeigen sehr schön, wie die Bären trotz und mit der Hitze zurecht kommen und du, Mervi, beschreibst es einmal wieder treffend.

Dear Imbi, dear Mervi!
It’s amazing how well many polar bears seem to cope with the challenges of a heat wave. But we’re not in their shoes, so we don’t know just how much it’s affecting them. In any case, it’s good for them to have natural ground, shade, and plenty of water available. A pile of snow or ice every now and then would certainly be helpful, too…
