Jens has visited the Zoo Sauvage de Saint-Felicien on the 16th of October 2024 and met three beautiful polar bears there – Aisaqvak, Milak and Shouka.
There are two large enclosures for the polar bear trio.
Enclosure A
Enclosure B
Large parts of the zoo are inaccessible to pedestrians. For safety reasons, you have to use the zoo bus – as ALL the animals roam free. The bus takes about 60 minutes – that’s how big the huge area is for the animals.
Aisaqvak was born in the wild probably in 2002. Her parents are, of course, unknown.
Here’s her travelling plan:
07.09.2003 – 12.11.2003 Quebec
12.11.2003 – 07.04.2004 Calgary
07.04.2004 – St. Felicien
Children:
2009: Ganuk ♂
2009: Taiga ♀ (died 21. Januar 2020 in Crochane)

Milak was born on the 7th of December 2008 in Aalborg, Denmark. Her parents are Viktoria and Felix.
Even Milak has moved many times.

After the ‘fishing tour’ Jelle wanted to take a nap.

Aisaqvak and Jelle get along very well!
In an enormously large enclosure there are no less than 16 black bears! Here are two of them.
